September 2023 Close For one year, I will be studying for a Master's degree in photography at the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan. I'm very much looking forward to continuing my education, learning and researching, as well as intensively exploring the question of my artistic future.
July 2023 Close About 15 months ago – das schulhaus – should have been completely renovated. The new darkroom should have been set up long ago. Well - it's still not finished. There are always new surprises, setbacks, wrong decisions made a long time ago that have to be painstakingly ironed out, interpersonal disappointments and the list goes on. But above all, I was able to experience the support of wonderful people. They helped, consoled, strengthened, baked cakes for the breaks on the construction site. Kisses go out! In addition, there are exciting ideas and plans for the future of my work. Until then, hopefully, the final spurt.

March 2020 Close Deceleration. It is not accurate for everyone, but for many people this corona crisis also brings a lot of deceleration with it. Work appointments, fairs, exhibitions, performances, concerts, all have been cancelled until a not known date. But also private plans are completely put on ice. I have been noticing that many people around me seem to feel a kind of relief that „everything is slowing down“. Apart from all the worries and pain this crisis brings with it, this really makes me think. The desire for tranquility is immense. I wonder if this will be something we can learn from and after all of this is over welcome the quietness into our lives more often. To heal, to dream, to create,
März 2020 Close Entschleunigung. Es ist nicht für jeden zutreffend, aber für viele Menschen bringt diese Corona-Krise auch eine Menge Entschleunigung mit sich. Arbeitstermine, Messen, Ausstellungen, Aufführungen, Konzerte, alles wurde bis zu einem nicht bekannten Datum abgesagt. Aber auch private Pläne werden komplett auf Eis gelegt. Mir ist aufgefallen, dass viele Menschen in meinem Umfeld eine Art Erleichterung darüber zu empfinden scheinen, dass "alles langsamer wird". Abgesehen von all den Sorgen und Schmerzen, die diese Krise mit sich bringt, stimmt mich das sehr nachdenklich. Die Sehnsucht nach Ruhe ist immens. Ich frage mich, ob wir daraus lernen können und nach dem Ende der Krise die Stille in unserem Leben häufiger willkommen heißen. Um zu heilen, um zu träumen, um zu schaffen,

Together with students of the University of Mannheim and their lecturer PD Dr. Anna-Katharina Gisbertz we, Steffen Diemer and I, created a symbiosis of short stories and photographs which is now presented as part of the Ladenburger Literaturtage. Vernissage will take place at the 28th of June at 5pm in the Galerie Maul, Ladenburg.
